About Mohini Barr

Relational, Embodied & Creative Approaches to Counselling

My style is person-centred (this is your space, and I will follow where you lead) with a focus on spontaneous Gestalt techniques, such as breathing, movement, meditation, and other experiments designed to deepen awareness. I also integrate Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis to explore patterns of relating and the impact of family and society on your potential.

For those wanting to explore trauma or long-standing patterns, long-term work (12+ months) can be transformative, building capacity for self-acceptance and change. For shorter-term work, I draw on my background in Hatha Yoga and DBT training to share practical skills for self-regulation.

I view therapy as personal training for the mind-body system. Just as we invest in physical fitness, counselling can strengthen emotional flexibility, resilience, and self-support, with the aim of developing your ability to be your own healer.
